Vegetarian Summerfest

I recently attended Vegetarian Summerfest in Johnstown, PA. I learned so much and enjoyed the company of over 600 vegetarians during this five day event. People stayed overnight, ate together and attended a great selection of classes on the various aspects of being a vegetarian.

I created a video during one of the dinner meals but it was too long, so I split it in half. Here is the second half of the video, the part where I interview a few folks that I see as I walk around the room. I hope it gives you an impression of the fun the attendees had, including me! Here is the video:

That is so exciting that you want to try to be a vegan. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Take care! Bonnie

Hi, just found your blog. I've been wondering where all the old vegans are. I just turned 50 and have been vegan for almost 4 years.

Dear Txvgn,

That is so wonderful that you have been a vegan for four years! I have been a vegan for about one and one-half so far and before that a vegetarian for many years. I am so hopeful that more and more older adults, like ourselves, will choose to eat vegan! What a fun and terrific life it is - It's the best! Best wishes, Bonnie
